Chicago Developer Breaks Ground on Large Industrial Facility in Milpitas, its First Bay Area Project

Bridge Development Partners LLC said Wednesday that it had acquired a nearly 35-acre property in Milpitas and broke ground on a two-building industrial facility on the site.

Chicago-based Bridge Development Partners, which focuses on acquiring and developing Class A industrial real estate across the U.S., is constructing a 333,800 square-foot building and a 388,240 square-foot building on a 34.5-acre site at 205 N. McCarthy Blvd. in Milpitas, according to a Wednesday news release.

The two buildings, dubbed Bridge Point Silicon Valley by the developer, will each be one story tall when completed and will feature 36-foot clear ceilings and 185-foot truck court depths, the exterior area next to an industrial building's loading docks where trucks maneuver, according to the news release and a memorandum to the Milpitas planning zoning administrator dated Dec. 12, 2019
